TO CHECK IN:

1. chegar (arrive) e registrar-se (register) em um hotel ou aeroporto.

Ex: When we arrive at the airport we need to check in.

TO CHECK OUT: 

1. deixar o hotel, loja, mercado...

Ex: Your father need to check out of the hotel before 10 a.m.

TO CHECK someone / something OUT:

1. olhar cuidadosamente, ingestigar algo ou alguém.

Ex: The company checks out all the employees everyday.

2. olhar (informal).

Ex: Check out that crazy clothes.
